I made my way to the home of this amazing set of soon-to-be parents on what was THE nicest day of the year so far! I immediately felt at home with them (and Roxy) and loved watching them interact. Dad cares so much for the mother of his first child (both sides first grand baby). It’s so apparent by the way he helped her and was so comfortable cozied up to her while I was there. They gave me a quick tour of their home when I arrived and I loved seeing all of the photographs on their walls – wonderful memories everywhere. We shot outside on the porch where this couple enjoys morning coffee, in their living space where they spend lots of time together, and in their own gorgeous backyard.
They are a few weeks away from their sweet girls due date and mom is hoping that she arrives with her daddy’s baby blues. She is so excited to watch their father-daughter bond develop. I told her how watching my own husband and daughter made me feel and cannot wait for her to experience that kind of love for herself. You think you love your husband now… just watch him with your newborn and prepare to love him more than you ever knew you could. It’s absolutely amazing.
