Life changes in a BIG way, once your little one is in your arms. Your home changes. Your routine is flipped upside down. You sleep a whole lot less. You worry a whole lot more. Your space and personal time is completely invaded. (Pets feel this one hard too.) You are at the mercy of a tiny new life and that massive responsibility is bound to throw even the most prepared new parents off course every now and again.
Life is just different and nobody, from veteran mom to licensed professional, can fully prepare you for this brand new phase of life. It’s a beautiful, exhausting new phase. You know what else you cannot prepare for? The love. The overwhelming, all consuming love that you have for this life that you brought home to make your family a little more complete. The new love for the baby and the increased love you now have for the partner you chose to navigate this adventure by your side.
These new parents (and furbaby) know all of that emotion and change first hand! They are smiling and loving their way through it all, with the most precious and perfect baby girl to call their own. Elle. A real beauty with the best of her mama and daddy in her. She a lucky babe in countless ways and I absolutely loved documenting that for this family of four. (I say family of four because before Elle made her debut it was ALL ABOUT THE PUP! These are my people!)
Their home is a beautiful, happy, and laid back place. They all fit perfectly together. The love that fills the space is real and that is my favorite thing to photograph. To say that I am happy for this them (and her aunts, uncles, and cousins who’ve been on the other side of my camera too) is such an understatement.
It happened again, you guys… me walking away from a session adoring another Pittsburgh family and newborn. Sweet baby Elle – your future is so bright and so, so beautiful!
