I’m writing this post on my macbook, sipping on a glass of red wine by our tree, while Chris and the girls are fast asleep. We are less than two weeks until Christmas and I’m about to soak in all of that holiday magic with the people that I love. It’s been such a busy August-December. (Admittedly, maybe busier than I should have allowed.) Finding balance as wife/mom/daughter/friend/business owner is never easy, but when so many amazing families find their way to me, it’s hard to not take “just one more session” in a given month. That happened on more than one occasion this year and my husband is beyond deserving of a shout out for the ways he allowed me to have my very best and busiest year to date. It’s hard to say no, but for the next few weeks – aside from a few fast approaching baby due dates – I’m embracing a slow down. A few galleries to edit and deliver this week and then it’s ALL FAMILY for this mama. I’m ready!
I mentioned that amazing families keep finding their way to me… whether from a client referral, Instagram, or Google… the best, most wonderfully laid back, adorable, and like-minded parents are finding me. It’s a great feeling – clicking with clients! I feel really lucky. And the mama at the center of the P family is a perfect example. She and her husband want nothing more than to remember RIGHT NOW, with their growing girl. That smile, those curls, the laughs, hugs, twirls… and some extra time with the cousins she looks up to. It’s all there!
Hartwood Acres was their perfect location. It showcased a little bit of the festive, leaving all kinds of room to show off all that cute, as they all enjoyed some quality time together. Really, just a perfect session!
To all of the families who have grown in front of my camera this year – thank you. I appreciate you all so much and have been honored to catch all of your moments.
