When you absolutely adore the home that you brought to life, in the neighborhood that you love… please do yourself a favor and at least consider shooting photos of your family right there – where your heart lives.
It’s their comfort zone. Their everyday happy place. It’s the streets they walk together and the stoops they pass each night. It’s the couch they cuddle on and the nursery where they read to her. They laugh and love in all of the places that we explored, so the photos are authentic. They are fun and loving. They capture them in this special phase of life: the days when Gemma kept them on their toes and snuggled her way into their hearts.
Oh, Gemma. She steals a spotlight. She demands it. This child is special. She is so absolutely special. Smart, curious, FAST on her feet, sneaky in the cutest ways, innocent, and a bit of an old soul. Beautiful – did I mention she is beautiful? Her list goes on and on… and she’s only one. Her future is packed with everything good and amazing – this, I know.
How can I know something about someone so little? I met her parents and it didn’t take me 5 minutes to get how great they are. I watched them with her, and listened to them speak together. I heard them laugh as one. They let me in and showed me how much they love their daughter (and pup). They love the life that they have worked so hard for and it’s truly inspiring. Their parenting style is to be applauded. They are invested in the time spent with their sweet baby girl. When they are together – that’s it. They both work very hard (dad in the IT world and mama the MD and owner of The Shala of Pittsburgh Ashtanga Yoga). They set such wonderful examples for Gemma. Sure, work keeps them busy but there is always time for family.
Breathe in the goodness that is this awesome family in their very own little world…
